Arizona divers Ben Grado (Conifer, Colo.) and Samantha Pickens (Murrysville, Pa.) are traveling to Federal Way, Wash. this week to compete in the 2012 Olympic Diving Trials.

Grado and Pickens are among approximately 120 of the nation's best divers who are expected to compete for 14 spots on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Diving Team.

Notable participants include three-time Olympian Troy Dumais, 2011 World platform silver medalist David Boudia, and 2008 Olympians Kelci Bryant, Chris ColwillThomas Finchum, Haley Ishimatsu and Christina Loukas.

Grado, a recent graduate, will compete in the men's 3-meter and 10-meter competitions, while Pickens, a rising junior, will compete on the 3-meter.

Grado is coming off the most successful season of his career after becoming the first male diver in Arizona history to win a national title and winning all three boards at the Pac-12 Championships.

Pickens also had a big year after posting two top-four finishes at the women's NCAA Championships.

The diving trials will receive 14 hours of broadcast coverage on NBC and NBC Sports Network from June 19-24.
