Red and Blue and Alumni Too
The annual Red-Blue Game will host UA basketball elite alumni and heralds the beginning of the highly anticipated UA men's basketball season.
Basketball fans still relishing the success of a conference championship and last year's run to the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight are invited to cheer on the men's basketball team and the new season during the annual Red-Blue Game.
"Any time you have the success we had last year, especially in March, that's a feeling you want to return to. I think everybody in our organization – coaches, managers, players – understand that it's so hard to do, and that's the challenge we face as we start back up again," head coach Sean Miller said.
The Red-Blue intrasquad scrimmage scheduled for Oct. 22 at McKale Memorial Center already has sold more than 9,500 tickets. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. PDT.
The game offers the fun of seeing the team come together with the added element of University of Arizona basketball elite alumni who will be in attendance.
Jason Terry is scheduled to attend Saturday's Red-Blue Game. He'll be honored for winning an NBA title with the Dallas Mavericks, and former Wildcat standouts Derrick Williams and Chase Budinger will be inducted into the McKale Center Ring of Honor.
Other former Arizona basketball alumni scheduled to be in attendance include Joseph Blair, Channing Frye, Andre Iguodala, Richard Jefferson and Corey Williams.
Buy tickets online or in person at the McKale Center Ticket Office or by calling 520-621-CATS. Prices start at $7 for adults and $4 for youth purchased in advance and $10 and $5 on the day of the game.
Current ZonaZoo members receive free admission to this game, based on availability, with a CatCard.
Additionally, fans who purchase tickets to the UCLA football game on Oct. 20 can add Red-Blue Game tickets for only $3 each. This offer is only available in advance when purchasing UCLA football game tickets.
