New Poetry Center Executive Director Named
Tyler Meier has been named the new executive director of the University of Arizona Poetry Center....
<p>The Boston Camerata, an early music vocal ensemble that takes its name from the music schools of the Italian Renaissance, will perform Jan. 26-27 at Crowder Hall. <br /><br />Directed by Joel Cohen, the program will include selections from their recent recording, "The American Vocalist," that explores early American spiritual music. Cohen, a leading authority in the field of medieval and Renaissance musical performance, has directed the Boston Camerata since 1968. <br /><br />Both UApresents performances begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $35, with discounts for UA students, faculty and staff. An "Arts Encounter" discussion will be held 45 minutes before each performance in a room next to Crowder Hall.<br /><br />For box office hours and more information call 621-3341.
