The Boston Camerata to Perform at Crowder Hall
The Boston Camerata, an early music vocal ensemble that takes its name from the music schools of the Italian Renaissance, will perform Jan. 26-27 at Crowder Hall.
Directed by Joel Cohen, the program will include selections from their recent recording, "The American Vocalist," that explores early American spiritual music. Cohen, a leading authority in the field of medieval and Renaissance musical performance, has directed the Boston Camerata since 1968.
Both UApresents performances begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $35, with discounts for UA students, faculty and staff. An "Arts Encounter" discussion will be held 45 minutes before each performance in a room next to Crowder Hall.
