Yoga Program Honors Memory of UA Student

Jessica Stebbins was deeply devoted to establishing a yoga program at the UA designed for individuals with low mobility and disabilities, such as herself. After Stebbins died in December 2011, UA students carried her dream forward and since have founded the Yoga for Any Body club and a class by the same name.

Wildcats to Host UCLA, Whiteout, Thursday on ESPN2

The No. 6 Arizona men's basketball team (16-1, 4-1 Pac-12) will return home for a pivotal Pac-12 match-up against UCLA (15-4, 5-1 Pac-12) on Jan. 24 in McKale Memorial Center. The game - set for 7 p.m. MST on ESPN2 - will mark the third annual "whiteout" in the UA's legendary home facility.

Arizona Baseball Opening Day Quickly Approaching

The defending national champion Arizona baseball team will open its season on Feb. 15 against Coppin State, but there still is plenty of time for Wildcats fans to purchase their tickets, meet the team and mark their calendars for a season chock-full of big games and fun promotions at Hi Corbett Field. Individual game tickets will go on sale for home games beginning Feb. 1, and Meet the Team Day is Feb. 2.

Men's Basketball to Close Road Swing at ASU on Saturday

The No. 7 Arizona men's basketball team (15-1, 3-1 Pac-12) will close a three game road swing on Jan. 19 at intrastate rival Arizona State University (14-3, 3-1 Pac-12) in a nationally televised game on FOX Sports Net. Three of the last six series meetings at Wells Fargo Arena have been decided by seven points or less, with the teams splitting those results.

Arizona Adds Women's Sand Volleyball

The UA has added women's sand volleyball as a varsity sport. The sport, which enjoys a spring competition schedule, will be the 20th varsity sport sponsored by Arizona Athletics. Steve Walker has been named the new program's first head coach. Official competition will begin in spring 2014.

UA Alum Louis 'Buzz' Sands Commits $10M to Arizona Athletics

UA alumnus Louis Sands IV, known as “Buzz” to his friends, has made a $10 million commitment to the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility at the UA. His gift is a significant investment in the Arizona football program and the entire athletics program. A club that will serve as a gathering space for select football ticket holders will be named in his honor.
