Wildcats Head to Sweet 16

The No. 6 seed Arizona men's basketball team will open play in the 2013 NCAA West Regional semifinal against No. 2 seed Ohio State on March 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This will mark the second trip to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 under head coach Sean Miller and Arizona's 15th trip to the regional semifinals in program history.

The No. 6 seed Arizona men's basketball team will open play in the 2013 NCAA Tournament's West Region against No. 11 seed Belmont in a March 21 second-round game in Salt Lake City. This will be the UA's 30th NCAA Tournament appearance overall (counting two vacated appearances), and the program has an official 46-26 (.639) record in its previous NCAA Tournament action.

Quarterfinals Await Wildcats in Las Vegas

The No. 4 seed Arizona men's basketball team (24-6, 12-6 Pac-12) will travel to Las Vegas for the 2013 Pac-12 Tournament and will open play in the second quarterfinal on March 14. Arizona's 21 wins and four championships (1988-90, 2002) in this event are league bests. Since 2002, the Cats are 12-10 in tournament play and advanced to four title games.

Rivalry Game to Close Men's Basketball Regular Season Saturday

No. 18 Arizona (23-6, 11-6) will play Arizona State University (20-10, 9-8) on March 9 at McKale Memorial Center in the last game of the regular season. The game will begin at 2:30 p.m. MST and will air on FSN. It will be the 224th meeting of the two schools, with Arizona holding a 143-80 series advantage.

Former Arizona Star Derrick Williams Finding His NBA Way

In college, it was easy for Derrick Williams. The former UA All-American forward has found the NBA waters a bit choppier - but he's getting his confidence back. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft is averaging nearly 17 points per game for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Williams also continues to follow the Arizona men's basketball team, which he led to the Elite Eight as a sophomore.

Mitchell, Eller to be Inducted in Arizona Sports Hall of Fame

Former UA diving coach Michele Mitchell and longtime UA supporter Karl Eller have been named to the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. Mitchell won medals at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympic Games. Eller was a former football player at the UA.
