The first Yiddish feature film to come out of ultra-orthodox circles and one of the first Yiddish movies produced after the Holocaust, "A Gesheft" is basically a heist movie. It tells the story of Peretz, a dealer whose life spans his ultra-orthodox background and the underworld. Peretz is willing to use violence to conduct his seedy business, and the movie follows his criminal career.
