UA Media Arts Screens Cult Classic, "The Warriors"

"The Warriors," considered by some to be a cult classic, is about a street gang from Coney Island that is trapped in the Bronx when a city-wide truce explodes. What follows is non-stop suspense and violent action as they try to get through 28 miles of "enemy territory" with 100,000 gang members after them. Michael Beck, Dorsey Wright, James Remar star; directed by Walter Hill.

Andrew Laszlo has had a career in film and television that spans nearly 50 years, from the original "Phil Silvers Show" (Sgt. Bilko) to Walt Disney Pictures' "Newsies." He received Emmy nominations for "The Man Without a Country" and "Shogun." Laszlo is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild, the Directors Guild of America, the American Society of Cinematographers and the Motion Picture Academy. He also served two terms as governor of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Laszlo also teaches at several universities and has given seminars for industry professionals as well as future filmmakers around the world.
