Arizona will have 13 current or former swimmers competing in Rome.

University of Arizona swimmers Joel Greenshields and Jake Tapp were named to the Canadian National Team roster to compete at the FINA World Championships July 17-Aug. 2. The duo earned the nod after competing in trial events last week in Montreal.

Greenshields, the Cats relay anchor, will swim in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle events. He'll also most likely be on the 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay team for Canada.

Tapp, a runner-up in the 200-yard backstroke at NCAA Championships in March, will compete in the 100-meter backstroke after swimming a second place time of 54.82.

Also on the American side, Lacey Nymeyer was officially added to the U.S. National team roster to swim on the 800-meter free relay team. Nymeyer will join current Wildcat Alyssa Anderson on the relay team.

With these latest additions, Arizona will now have 13 current or former swimmers competing in Rome.
