
Come out and enjoy beautiful Sabino Canyon and help out a great cause!
Volunteers are needed to help tag and remove Arundo (an invasive giant reed that looks similar to bamboo) in Sabino Canyon.
Please arrive at 7:50 a.m. and sign in at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center ramadas.
Parking for giant reed removal volunteers is free. Drive through in the bypass lane and park. You will receive a volunteer parking pass to place in your windshield at the registration table.
The event, sponsored by The University of Arizona Master Watershed Steward Program, will last from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on each of the days listed below and you should wear sturdy shoes or boots, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, a hat and sunglasses or safety glasses. Please also bring a backpack, sunblock and a water bottle. Tools and gloves will be provided for you.
