Prize-winning Pianist John Milbauer to Perform

Prize-winning pianist John Milbauer will perform his annual Faculty Artist Series recital.

Mixing the familiar with the unfamiliar, the exasperating with the enchanting, this concert aims both to provoke and to delight the listener. Milbauer's eclectic program will include Ludwig van Beethoven's last composition for piano, a selection of Frederic Chopin mazurkas, Claude Debussy's seldom-heard "Images Oubliees," and the five pieces "Out of Doors" by Bela Bartok. Also featured will be a recent work by French electro-acoustic composer Pierre Jodlowski that makes extreme demands on performer and audience alike.
