The annual BIO5 Arizona Science Teacher Symposium offers K-12 teachers from across the state professional development workshops, speakers, tours and a science education outreach resource fair, all designed to enhance science education in Arizona. This year's event is at Biosphere 2. Teachers will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, standards-based workshops, connect with science education programs and resources, network with other teachers from around the state, and get an inside look at the exciting research taking place at Biosphere 2.
Participants leave with lesson plans that they can implement in their classrooms, and receive a bioscience education resource CD and credit toward state recertification.
