The Music Man, book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson
April 12-May 3, 2009
Tornabene Theatre
Charming con man Harold Hill has made a living promising to teach children how to play in a band, collecting payment first then skipping town before he is discovered. Things seem no different in River City, Iowa, until he falls for the town librarian, who rightly suspects his silver-tongued gift is more of a curse. Filled with familiar tunes, such as “Seventy-six Trombones,” “Trouble,” and “Till There Was You,” this delightful Tony Award-winning musical will have you humming all the way home.
