The department of surgery is hosting the 2008 Resident Graduation Scientific Research Day. Seven graduating general surgery chief residents will be presenting 15-minute presentations of their research. In addition, at 1 p.m., keynote speaker and 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Dr. Gary L. Dunnington, professor and chairman of the Southern Illinois University department of surgery, will present “Evaluation of Performance or Bowling without Pins.” Dunnington is nationally renowned for his contributions to surgical education.
There is no cost and refreshments and lunch will be provided for attendees.
