Low Dog's extensive career in studying natural medicine began more than 25 years ago. She studied midwifery and massage therapy and was a highly respected herbalist before going on to receive her doctor of medicine degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She currently serves as the director of education for the Program in Integrative Medicine and clinical assistant professor in the department of medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine.
