Join the Arizona Arthritis Center's for its annual Living Healthy with Arthritis event, a half-day filled with inspiration, information and light brunch to help you and family members live fuller, healthier lives.
Featured speakers and topics include:
- "Update on Pediatric Rheumatology," Dr. Salvatore Albani, director of the Arizona Arthritis Center, professor of medicine, pediatrics and the Stephens Chair in Rheumatology at The University of Arizona College of Medicine.
- "Latest Treatments in Rheumatoid Arthritis," Dr. Sujata Sarkar, rheumatologist and assistant professor of medicine at the UA College of Medicine.
- "Advances in Cartilage Tissue Regeneration," John Szivek, professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at the UA College of Medicine and director of the Orthopedic Research Laboratory.

- "Osteoporosis – What’s New in Prevention and Treatment Strategies," Dr. Jeffrey Lisse, chief of the Section of Adult Rheumatology, professor of medicine and Ethel McChesney Bilby Endowed Chair for Osteoporosis.
- "Juvenile Arthritis Focus Group – What are the Treatment Options," Deborah Jane Power, board-certified rheumatologist with a special interest in pediatric rheumatology.
- "Maximize Your Communication with Healthcare Providers," Gail Kershner Riggs, principal research specialist at the Arizona Arthritis Center.
- "Healthy Cooking Demo – Learn to Prepare Healthy Snacks and Appetizers," Pat Sparks, professor and chef.
- "Pilates – How to Use Your Body to Its Maximum Potential," Debbie Rocha, certified Pilates instructor and retired physical education teacher.
- "Navigating Your Way to Accurate Healthcare Resources on the Internet," Sandy Kramer, associate librarian and assistant director of services at the Arizona Health Sciences Library.
- "Tai Chi for Arthritis," Susan Cooper, certified Arthritis Foundation tai chi instructor with more than 25 years experience in the fitness industry.
