
Evan Gaines, outreach project coordinator for the American Society of Engineering Education, will present a workshop for students, particularly seniors and first- and second-year graduate students, who plan to apply for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship due in November.
The NSF GRFP is a three-year graduate fellowship with a $30,000 per year stipend for students in the sciences, social sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics.
ASEE manages the application process for NSF, and Gaines will provide an overview and advice on applying to the program from 11 a.m.-noon.
ASEE sponsors a number of fellowships, internships and postdoctoral programs for students in engineering, mathematics, physics, optics, astronomy and computer sciences. A general presentation on these programs will take place from noon-1 p.m.
Individual appointments will be held from 2 p.m.-3 p.m..
