Happy Anniversary Federal Depository Library

The University of Arizona Libraries will be celebrating 100 years of success in providing public access to government documents.

UA President Robert N. Shelton, Rep. Raul Grijalva and representatives from the Government Printing Office and Arizona State Library are among the featured speakers during the event.

The UA in 1907 became one of a number of institutions across the nation to be designated a federal depository, which came with the responsibility of collecting and storing government documents.

Most recently, the UA library has worked to digitize the majority of items in its collection to improve access not only for UA students and faculty, but also for the general public.
