Old Main Reopens Its Doors
The restoration of Old Main was undertaken not only to make critical repairs, but also to return the building to its original function as the heart of campus. Improvements include new public meeting areas and a permanent art exhibition space.
UA Science Could Make Canola Oil More Nutritious, and Broccoli More Tasty
Genomics researchers of the University of Arizona's iPlant collaborative have helped unravel the genetic code of the canola plant. The findings will help breeders select for desirable traits such as more nutritious oil content, faster seed production and adapting the plants to grow in more arid regions.
