Steward Observatory Public Evening Lecture - '2012 Doomsday! World Apocalypse?'

Maj. James McGaha, director of the Grasslands Observatory, will give a talk titled "2012 Doomsday! World Apocalypse?"

A retired pilot from the U.S. Air Force, McGaha has been an amateur astronomer since 1956. Since 1976, he has been interested in the growing belief in pseudoscience. In 1983, he founded Tucson Skeptic Inc. (TUSK). TUSK is a nonprofit corporation devoted to promoting science and debunking pseudoscience. McGaha serves as a scientific consultant to the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.
