Southwest Climate Summit
Please join a meeting of federal, tribal, state and local stakeholders, resource managers and scientists to discuss the state of climate science in the Southwest and needs for climate-related research to inform societal and management decisions.
The author team will unveil the 2012 Southwest Climate Assessment.
- The SWCA is a state-of-the art assessment and synthesis of climate change projections; climate change impacts on social, economic and ecosystems; and adaptive capacity in the Southwest.
- Resource managers will highlight opportunities for application of science to inform management decisions.
- Facilitated discussions will focus on prioritizing regional climate concerns, knowledge gaps and research to provide input to the Southwest Climate Science Center’s Five-Year Science Plan.
Summit participants will help to structure future climate research in the Southwest.
