Linda Stapleton, executive assistant to the president for the past 19 years, has announced her intention to retire from the University of Arizona. She has served the University for 30 years including 19 years as assistant to five presidents, seven years in the College of Humanities as assistant to the dean, four years including time in the dean of students office and in the college of arts and sciences as the pre-med, pre-dent, pre-law secretary.

Her future plans include time with her husband, children and grandchildren, and getting together with her many friends, travel, reading and community involvement. She has always said, "I have the best job in the house and I love it! I have worked for and with some remarkable people and am grateful for the opportunities I have had at the University."
