Evelyn C. White Lecture

Evelyn C. White, author of "Alice Walker: A Life" will present a lecture titled "Conduct Your Blooming in the Whip of the Whirlwind: A Celebration of Gwendolyn Brooks."

The first Black author to win the Pulitzer Prize, Brooks (1917-2000) was a powerful poet and community activist. White will discuss her personal and professional encounters with the pioneering figure in American letters.
