TLA Invention to Impact Workshop Series: Create, Claim, Commercialize

How can your research be harnessed to create the greatest impact for you, the UA and society? This year's Tech Launch Arizona lunchtime workshops will cover the essential knowledge you need to bring your research to the world through commercialization. Each engaging one-hour workshop will include two 15-minute quick-hit presentations alternating with interactive discussions and activities. After each workshop, TLA staff will remain for an optional open Q&A.

The first workshop is titled "Create, Claim, Commercialize: How to Protect Your IP for Impact."

Do you have an invention that you'd like to see impact the world? Put TLA's patent budget and legal resources to work protecting your intellectual property. Learn the basics of intellectual property, how to protect it, and the UA financial and intellectual resources available to you to make it happen.

Topics covered in this workshop will include:

  • The process of technology transfer
  • Patents and other forms of intellectual property
