The University of Arizona

New Student Convocation

Welcome to a new year at the University of Arizona! Whether you are a brand new student or this is your last year on campus, Wildcat Welcome is here to help you start the year off right! For ten action-packed days we help you get settled on campus, make new friends, find your way around, find resources to make you successful, explore different groups and communities, and learn what it means to be a Wildcat.

New Student Convocation is the must attend event of Wildcat Welcome! You'll hear from the University of Arizona President, Provost, Vice Presidents of Student Affairs and more as they welcome you to your first semester on campus. Wilbur, Wilma, the Cheer Team and Pep Band will also join in on the fun to teach you about UA pride and traditions.  And whatever you do, don't leave early, the event continues into the night as we celebrate the start of the new year!  Oh, and did we mention the free t-shirt?
