The University of Arizona

Engineering Design Day

All are invited to the UA College of Engineering's big day to show off the amazing and innovative projects, designs and inventions that will someday soon shape society and make the world a better place.

Flying robots, swimming robots, medical imaging and devices, wildlife trackers, rocket engines, renewable energy systems, even a next-generation mini-bar chiller – all these and more are on display and will be judged by industry engineers for $15,000 in prize money.

This event is the product of the hard work of students, mentors and faculty and, importantly, the generous support of and partnership with many individuals and organizations. The projects on display are sponsored and funded by companies, inventors, student clubs and faculty. Professional mentors guide students through industry-standard procedures to realize their designs and to build prototypes.
