The UA Eller College of Management's internationally recognized MBA program will be available online beginning this fall. Applications for the program now are being accepted. UA Spin-Off to Test Cancer-Preventing Drug Combination
The UA spin-off company Cancer Prevention Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is building on systematic basic research by UA researchers that explored molecular mechanisms underlying tumor growth. The company is embarking on a clinical trial to prevent the occurrence of colorectal cancer or high-risk polyps in colon cancer survivors.
UA Eller Accounting Students Volunteer to Prep Taxes for Tucsonans in Need
UA accounting students have spent more than 140 hours so far processing tax refunds for Tucsonans in need through a partnership with the United Way and the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. The experience offers students the opportunity to build professional skills by working with real clients and navigating complex tax issues.
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to Hear Arguments at UA College of Law
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will hear oral arguments at the James E. Rogers College of Law on March 6. The court hears cases annually at the college, and the event is open to the community. A public question-and-answer session with the panel of judges will follow the oral arguments.
'Digital Divas,' the World's Most Connected Consumers
A study led by UA researcher Anita Bhappu found that "digital divas" are an emerging segment of the world's very knowledgeable and highly influential purchasers. Her team surveyed more than 7,400 shoppers in four different locations around the globe, finding that this consumer population, though small in size, comprises the vast majority of all fashion spending.
