UA Mentors Make a Difference
To help better prepare students before they even enter higher education, the UA's Passport to High School summer camps, which are sponsored by the College of Education, is helping to give students the important information they need to be college-ready and to also plan for their careers.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that Sara Chavarria, director of Education Outreach in the college, initiated the camps four years ago. And this summer, the Tohono O'odham Nation gave the UA college $10,000 to finance the program.
